The FestivalChairs event stool

The FestivalChair is no ordinary cardboard stool. Its distinctive shape is patented worldwide, giving it both its characteristic look and exceptional strength. It supports up to 200 kg / 440 lbs because the ingenious folded construction and high-strength materials distribute weight efficiently across the entire stool. The cardboard is 100% FSC-certified and largely made from recycled material, so you are choosing a product that has been designed with responsible use of materials in mind. We design and manufacture FestivalChairs in the Netherlands and work with a social enterprise in Amsterdam for assembly, handling and logistics.

Because the stools are lightweight, an entire stack is easy to move. You can change the layout of your stand or event space quickly and pack everything away just as easily afterwards.

Which size is right for your event?

The best size depends on your available space and how long guests are likely to remain seated. The Classic is our standard size: compact, lightweight and ideal for almost any exhibition stand or event space. The XL is taller and more spacious, offering additional comfort when visitors are seated for longer periods, for example during a presentation. For a short activation on the exhibition floor, the Classic is often all you need. For longer sessions, the XL is usually the more comfortable choice. Expecting a large number of visitors? You can also combine both sizes to suit different parts of your event.

Your logo on every event stool

This is where the stool really becomes part of your brand. Custom printing is available from just 20 units, either with your logo on the sides or with a design that wraps around the stool.
The best printing method depends on your artwork and order quantity:

 

  • Full-colour litho-laminated print: premium print quality for designs featuring photography, multiple colours and fine detail.
  • Up to two-colour litho-laminated print: a clean, highly effective finish in up to two colours on white or brown cardboard.

Where can you use an event stool?

A FestivalChair works wherever people gather and your brand deserves to be seen. At a trade show, it gives visitors a convenient place to sit while keeping your logo prominently in view. At a corporate event or product launch, it creates extra seating that becomes an integral part of your visual identity. FestivalChairs can also work extremely well as a branded gift. Few event stools come with a story like this one. The FestivalChair is also known as the Dutch Design Chair and received the prestigious Red Dot Design Award in 2013, followed by a Best Marketing Tool Award in the United States. The idea originated with founder Tim Várdy while he was studying at the conservatory. During a visit to the North Sea Jazz Festival, he found himself wishing for a lightweight, foldable seat that he could easily carry with him. That simple idea developed into a unique design whose shape is now patented worldwide and which is manufactured entirely in the Netherlands. Its cardboard construction also has a relatively low environmental impact compared with many conventional temporary event-furniture solutions.

How much weight can a FestivalChair support?

A FestivalChair can support up to 200 kg / 440 lbs. Its cleverly folded construction distributes weight across the entire structure, providing a strong and stable seat for adult visitors. Many lower-cost cardboard stools have a maximum load of around 80 kg, making FestivalChairs a significantly stronger alternative.

Can event stools be custom-printed?

Yes. FestivalChairs can be fully customised in your own branding from just 20 units. You can choose full-colour printing or designs in up to two colours on white or brown cardboard. Each stool becomes a highly visible piece of branded event furniture.

What is the difference between an event stool and a festival stool?

The main difference is the setting in which it is used. An event stool is a broad solution for corporate events, trade shows, conferences and product launches, while our festival stool is positioned more specifically for festivals and public events. The stool itself is made from the same strong, recyclable cardboard.

What is the minimum order quantity?

Custom printing is available from just 20 stools. For larger quantities, we use highly cost-effective printing methods, so orders of hundreds or even thousands of stools remain competitively priced. In general, the higher the quantity, the lower the unit price. We will calculate the best option for your required volume in a tailored quotation.

How sustainable is a FestivalChair?

FestivalChairs are 100% recyclable, largely made from recycled cardboard and manufactured from 100% FSC-certified cardboard. After the event, guests can take their stool home as a souvenir, extra seat or side table. Alternatively, the stools can be folded flat, stored for another event or recycled. This helps reduce event waste and extends the useful life of your branded event furniture.

What is the delivery time for custom-printed event stools?

Custom-printed FestivalChairs are usually delivered within two to three weeks after approval of the artwork. Standard white or brown stools can often be delivered faster because we normally keep them in stock. Working to a tight deadline? Let us know. Smaller quantities with full-colour UV printing can often be produced more quickly if required.
